Does Anyone Have A Business But Still Gets ESA Or Disablity?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm getting ESA as I've been signed off from my job. This was over a year ago and I didn't want to be stuck in the house, sleeping or doing nothing. So I started making candles & wax melts which has developed into a little business. I find I can stop when I'm too tired or have done too much but I don't earn enough for me to live on. Could I claim disablity or still get my ESA?

Unfortunately it also takes a few months but you can get PIP back dated. It's Personal Indepedant Payment. It's a mental and physical health benefit. The amount you get depends on your physical and mental health.
You can apply for the paper work from the directgov.co.uk.

Just to let you know you have to have a health assessment with this benefit. It doesn't take your earnings into consideration just your health.

Hope this as helpful

For the PIP they basically ask you the questions that you have already asweared in your assessment sheet. Only they have the answers sitting in front of them and you don't.
I think it's to make sure your not lying.
I won't lie to you it's a bit stressful. I would recommend getting someone to help you fill out the forms with you that is expearienced in benefit forms. They are looking for very specific answers, although allot of the questions are strait forward some of them are very intrusive and tricky.

Good luck xx

It's horrible and a dare say that PIP is worse.
Good luck with your assessment 😊
