I have upper right and midline abdominal pain. I've had multiple checks in the last 10 years because gallbladder issues are heavy on my maternal side. But they never find anything. I started taking dexilant for a few reasons. A month ago I had gastritis but then I found out that there is a 30 to 40% chance that it could cure my eosinophil esophagitis. I think most of us here have multiple conditions. IBS seems to go hand in hand with Fibromyalgia.

However, if you are experiencing severe pain on the lower right do go to a clinic tomorrow and check that you do not have appendicitis or an ovarian cyst.

I stopped taking mine because the indigestion was still really bad and my food wasn't digesting. Found that a little baking soda in water takes care of indigestion and I don't have to take it every day.

If anyone has stomack pain and is taking prilosec or any drug that stops stomach acid. Stop taking it and the pain will go away. I went thru 2 years of pain in my stomach. 2 cat scans and several er visits. I happened to look at the paperwork for prilosec and it said may cause stomach pain. I quit takinf it and the next day the pain was gone. Crazy huh?
