I have very severe tenderness all along my jawbone and rib cage, my massage therapist said it's common for fibro sufferers to have pain along any areas with a lot of cartilage. Maybe fibro damages or inflames cartilage, I've always wondered about it.

Yes, I've noticed this from time to time, but I have adult acne so I sometimes get a pimple starting under the surface of my jawline. It does hurt and I keep touching it, but it never worries me. I'm 63 and it seems like we fibromyalgia sufferers have all kinds of symptoms. I never thought my skin would turn out to be so sensitive.

For a year or so, I'd get a rapid swelling on the side of my neck, under my ear along the jaw bone. It swelled up so quickly and was very painful. I started using warm, damp towels to soak the area and I massaged it...then just as suddenly, it would deflate. As it did, I'd feel warm salty liquid in my mouth. My chiropractor said it was a saliva gland that was swelling and then releasing saliva all at once, probably because of an inflamed duct. It finally went away on it's own. Weird.

@A MyFibroTeam Member I sometimes get that feeling and also my teeth hurt to where I cannot chew anything, It's just the nerves of Fibro talking it's pain on us when and where it wants to whenever!
