Sleep is no escape for FM. The pain enters my dreams and hammers me even there. I do stretches for thirty minutes each morning, gently to soothing music, this seems to help. Sometimes I can return to bed and sleep another hour or two. Hugs.
Animals are wonderful
Yup i had fibro for 15 years and i have sleep disturbance. I wake up throughout the night many times, when i do look at the clock when im wide awake, every night it says 5:04
I have had fibro for 30 years and always had sleep issues. I went thru phases were i would lie in bed for hours not being able to sleep. Then if i went to sleep, i would wake up every 30 minutes. That is why our bodies can not heal because we never get into rem sleep. That is when our bodies are supposed to be in a healing process. Now I have been able to sleep for 2 or 3 hours in a row, at least once during the night. I still wake up sometimes, every 30 minutes or so but at least i get a few hours in a row. I have been waking up between 530 and 630 for several months and have to get up because of the pain. It is way to early for me. I take hydroxyzine, which is an antihistamine, at night and it does help me go to sleep. Anyway, you are not alone. Have a great day. Hugs
