Members shared how they cope with being homebound due to fibromyalgia, with the most common activities including crafts like crocheting, jewelry-making, and card-making, along with reading, watching TV, playing games, and spending time with family or pets. Several members emphasized the importance of finding small, manageable projects that work around chronic fatigue and pain limitations, with some noting that working part-time or selling items online helps combat boredom while accommodating fluctuating energy levels. A recurring theme was the emotional challenge of isolation and loneliness, balanced by gratitude for hobbies, technology like iPads for entertainment and online shopping, and partners or family members who help with daily tasks.

I paint, read, watch tv. We're going to try and sell our house in a year so im finding little projects i can do slowly around the house to keep myself busy. Sometimes if its not too cold i just go sit outside or take small walks so that i feel like im getting out and about.

My iPad is a life saver, reading, games, music, movies, social media , news etc right at my finger tips. If I wake in the middle of the night I reach for my iPad. I like embroidery, crafts, etc and I order all my supplies online. I order 90% of our food online. I'm trying to train a lab puppy and it is killing me. I don't have enough energy for that, but I have always had a Lab and I would hate to live without one. Some people enjoy adult coloring books but I don't.
I sell on eBay. Why do I need clothes? I don't go anywhere but to doctors. I have been selling my clothes, shoes and purses.

I think many of us have chronic fatigue and with that I sleep in in the mornings and have naps during the day. I'm not able to do all my house cleaning so I am always behind the 8 ball. I feel like I can never get caught up and the days are so short. I would love to spend some time in my craft room and make cards or knit a project with all the yarn I have. When I am in pain I watch tv and cuddle up in my chair. I am not a person who needs people around very often and really enjoy a lot of alone time.

Find a hobby. When you have something you love to do...time flies by.
