Does Anyone Feel Better When They Have Their Period?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I've found that for the past few months, when I get my period my fibro symptoms ease off a bit ... Or maybe the period pain overwhelms the fibro pain do I don't notice the fibro...? It makes me think there might be a hormonal cause of my fibro...? Any thoughts? Has anyone found that hormonal contraception makes their fibromyalgia better or worse?

I feel like some of my symptoms lessen during my cycle, but that may be because of my period pain. My cramps are awful, always have been so i may be focusing on that. But i also feel like my dizziness and foggy feeling is worse during my cycle so im just not sure. Ive not been on contraceptives since my last child, tubal ligation.

Mine get worse.
All of my joints hurt and my knees swell. The pain and bleeds have been so bad I’ve been hospitalised with my periods.
