Yes it very well could be! Get your blood checked as soon as you can. If it’s lupus you need treatment for it. Let us know.

Where is your rash? If it’s on your face you need to get an ANA blood test. If it comes back positive, you will need further repeat tests.
I truly believe fibromyalgia is an autoimmune. And if you have one autoimmune, you will probably have another.
Lupus attacks your heart and kidneys. Get your blood checked soon and keep us informed. Hang in there!

Hello I am new too. I have Fibro and RA. I sometimes have a sharp pain too. Like you I have learned to deal with the pain. I also have ILD. It’s a good idea to have your doc run more test because yes more issues can certainly cross and mimick Fibro.
hi, Helen, I'm new here so just saying hello, I don't know about Fibro turning into lupus but I've had lupus for 25 years, and 5 years ago was also diagnosed with Fibro , my dr, at the time said fibro was secondary to my lupus and its not uncommon for lupus patients to also have fibro. So I don;t know if it works the other way round or not, over the years I have learned to deal with the lupus, but the fibro has knocked me off my feet, lupus flares up and really gives me plenty of warning when its about to flare up but fibro seems constant, nagging at me all the time, 20 years with Lupus and I struggled to keep working, 5 years with fibro and I'm signed off of work for 12 months now. hope you are having a good day love deb
@A MyFibroTeam Member. Your pain in yiur chest could be condritis. Its an inflamation to the chest wall. Alot of people with fibro have this. No way to help the pain but at least we know what it is. I hope you feel better.
