I found out i have hypothyroid and when looking into natural or functional medical clinics that specialise in fibro they apparently always test the thyroid as it can be one of the underlying problems but you need the free t3 and free t4 and something else tested to get accurate results often the doc only does a basic test that doesn't always show up.

Members connected over the relationship between thyroid issues and fibromyalgia, with many sharing that they were diagnosed with hypothyroidism around the same time as their fibromyalgia, often following a physical trauma like a fall, car accident, or head injury. Several members described how specific events seemed to trigger their fibromyalgia symptoms, including concussions, stressful life experiences like grief, and workplace injuries, suggesting that both physical and emotional trauma may play a role in the onset of the condition. A recurring theme was the importance of comprehensive thyroid testing beyond basic screenings, as functional medicine practitioners often check free T3, free T4, and other markers to uncover underlying issues that standard tests might miss.

Yes. I have had hypothyroidism since my early 20's. My fibro showed up after a fall and my thyroid problem was diagnosed around the same time.

My Fibro and hypothyroidism were also diagnosed at the same time and happened when I relived the trauma of losing my mother to cancer in my early teens watching a best friend suffer and die, same age as my mother. I have also fallen several times at
Work on ice and think that triggered worse pain symptoms !

Yes I fell in 1988 and sprained my neck and upper back. This is what triggered fibro with me.
