hyperparathyroidism is completely different from hyper or hypothyroidism. the parathyroid glands control the calcium in the body and the condition can affect bones. calcium is also needed for nerve signals, so the condition can affect muscles with pain, cramps, twitches. it can also cause kidney stones.

That is completely different. The parathyroid is smaller glands on either side of the thyroid
