Hello,
I started taking d-ribose for fatigue about 5 days ago and have felt even more fatigued since starting. Has this happened to anyone else?
Also, why are some effective strategies others have used for fatigue? This is definitely the most disruptive symptom for me and I've never been able to find any relief
Have you been tested for ADD/ADHD. It is not uncommon for Fibromites to be ADD/ADHD and to need Adderall or one of the other meds. I used caffeine pills for years to teach High School because I have GERD, but just thus year, at 53, I found out I was ADHD and both of my children, now 25 and 22, are both ADHD. We were all three put on Adderall and it is amazing the difference it has made in our life.
I've been crashing all through December..just say I'll rest for 5 minutes and I wake up 2 hrs later ,not feeling rested at all...😥
Fatigue? I'm not sure what that is. Never heard it before until lately. N hear it all the time now.
Thank you for the suggestion @A MyFibroTeam Member. I have never been tested but will explore this further.
I feel you @A MyFibroTeam Member. Fatigue is such a debilitating thing and it's so frustrating that there aren't more treatments out there
I was diagnosed with ADD in my early 30's thanks to my eldest sons pediatrician, I have been taking Dexamphetamine for over 13 years. I am finding that my fatigue negates the Dex in regards to my ADD symptoms and is now barely of any use for my fatigue. We do not have Adderall in Australia and Straterra is only available if you are unable to use Dex or Ritalin. There is a new drug that has recently been introduced for ADD in Australia called Vavynse (lisdexamfetamine) but it is not subsidised as yet. I do not think there is enough energy drinks, coffee, stimulant medication in the world that could help with my fatigue.
