Ever since my diagnosis my hair is falling out waaaay faster than normal. I'm trying to figure out if it's the Fibro of a medication I'm on. I've read this is a pretty common Fibro thing but is there a way to tell...like how it's falling out...not in huge clumps or anything just a lot faster than normal. It really sucks. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
I had trouble with this at one time, but then I made some changes and I reversed it. Everyone is different, and I can tell by looking at your photo that you are on the young side (and the photo is a very good one, for you are very attractive in it).
I stopped coloring my hair and using any other chemicals in it. I also used to get permanents to make my hair more wavy. That had to stop. I was getting a huge bald spot and my hair was falling out and clogging up the drains. I also stopped using anything tight to put my hair up with, even covered elastic bands, and used barrettes instead or clips. I make sure to add a multivitamin to the rest of my supplements so I get the B vitamins which are essential for skin and hair. Cutting down on chemicals in general will help and improving your diet to include foods high in B vitamins, and/or supplementing in them will help, too.
Good luck. I hope these suggestions make sense to you and are helpful.
I've been losing a lot of hair , not clumps just a lot of it. I have'nt ask the dr. about it. I just thought it was my age. Now I've noticed lots of older women with thick hair. I guess I wii discuss with my dr.
My hair is thin & fell out when Id wash it or comb it. Now I noticed there are patches & it goes back farther on side than it did before. Luckly I have a lot if hair so I can make it look good but its a lot of work.
My daughter swears by Biotin and dr oz said that and vitamin d. I'm needing new doctor

Im not sure either vut I have notice mine seems to thin out much worse during colder weather. Im not sure if its fibro related or not though. I take biotin, collegen, get trims as regularly as I can and have thickening shampoo with collegen and biotin ..still losing mine, shower drain full daily & Lord forbid I wear black!
