What was your experiences with this medication as this is what I’ll be put on after slowly weaning off of Cymbalta
Tried it. I "woke up" sleep driving almost to the state line. Pretty drive, but I missed it going South to OR. Happens with any antidepressant I take. So, I stopped those too. My sunlight bulb does better for me I found.
Ive been on Zoloft for about four years for anxiety and it helps....I still have that I take Xanax when the aniexty is out of control. I hated cymbalta and sevella. Both made feel outside of my body. I was teaching at the time and that was no good when you’re in charge of 20 little ones.
Effexor and Cymbalta are terrible. The time release meds are terrible for me. Zoloft worked well for me. Low doses and increase very slowly... God bless.. good luck
Hi Liz! That's what I was on (the generic sertraline) for quite a few years. For me it worked well but the sideeffect of weight gain wasn't a good thing. And I did ... quite a bit. So now that I'm dealing with the fibro and on savella for that, I weaned myself off the zoloft. I still occasionally get a little anxiety or weepy but I'm trying other methods to deal with it so I can hopefully get the weight off.
I was on Zoloft and Effexor when I first went on antidepressants. I remember one or both of them making me very detached and numb- no happiness, sadness, joy etc. And another would give me black-out migraines if I didn’t take it on time within the hour. That was the worst. I am on Prozac now and at least I can still laugh, cry, see color (other antidepressants made everything washed out and gray) and be a little more “normal” feeling. If you are really sensitive to medications, make sure you write down all the symptoms you are having. Remember, if it hurts more then helps, you need to get off of it, ok?
