I went to the Drs because I had yet another night without a wink of sleep. When he asked why I was struggling to sleep I described it the best I could which was pain and sometimes that my skin starts to feel like it’s crawling getting worse until I eventually move and he can’t sleep if you can’t stay still long enough to fall asleep.. he made me feel like I was crazy (but did offer some help) does anyone else experience anything similar?

Members rallied around someone struggling with sleepless nights caused by crawling skin sensations and an inability to stay still, with many recognizing it as restless leg syndrome that can affect arms and other body parts too. Several members shared medications and approaches that helped them find relief, including gabapentin (especially a higher dose at bedtime), hydroxyzine, Elavil, magnesium supplements, aquatherapy in heated pools, and medical marijuana where legal. A recurring theme was the challenge of balancing pain relief with the need to stay alert for family responsibilities, the frustration of feeling dismissed by doctors, and the encouragement to keep advocating until finding both the right treatment and a physician who truly listens.

My best advice for pain while going to bed... Get high, use a indica strain.. Research the different strains to what ailments it helps. Times when I wake in morning but still tired and can't sleep I get out my vape and I'm good. Don't knock it until you try it and go ahead and research it. What do you have to lose? Medical is natural and safer then these prescription drugs.. Check those side effects to the side effects of consuming medical marijuana

I get insomnia about every night, if I nap or not during the day.

Take magnesium at night before you go to bed. May take a while to build up but will help. It also may be caused by some medication you are on. Called jumpy legs.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, I have similar problems sleeping. My doctor put me on Elavil. I take it just before bedtime. For the most part, I sleep through the night (with the occasional potty break). There is no groggy feeling in the morning either. If the doctor hadn’t prescribed this medication, they probably would have had to commit me to the looney bin!
Wishing everyone a pain free and dream filled night!
