My appointments tomorrow and she's talking physical therapy. More pain, I've been patient. I can't go another eight weeks like this. Medical college of Wisconsin decided not accept my application for pain management, and another clinic I called was $300 first appt and $200 for follow up appointments (they don't except insurance). I don't know what else to do if she still refuses to help. I'm doing my part. Its getting to be to much stress and costly. Any suggestions on how to go about this?

That is hard. Praying the right dr and help comes to you soon. I understand about pt. Came away in more pain than I went in. I chose to no longer try it as I never know when I'll be down and they don't accept that as a reason so you get black balled. The pain management dr said don't bother as it wouldn't help. At least he was honest. So I've been on my own for yrs. I just keep trying different things. I think you are doing that also. Good for you. Takes a strong person and that's you. A fighter. Keep us updated if you can. Will watch out for you💜🙏💪
I agree, finding the right Doctor is extremely important. Sometimes it takes real determination to find one that understands fibromyalgia and will listen to you. But believe me it is well worth the effort. Then you must be totally honest with the doctor about what is going on, don't try to be brave. They can't help us if we are trying not to complain or not tell them what is going on for us. We really are all different and what may work for one may not work for another.
I hope you will use your limited energy finding a doctor that can help you. ❤️
So sorry to hear this. Can you find another MD that will take your medical insurance? I was very lucky to be approved for permanent disability the first time. I was 50 ish so they might listen more about my problems. What they don't understand is that some days you can feel great intill you don't. What job can you do if at anytime you can flare up and can't get out of bed. It might take a while to find that DR that will take you serious. Hang in there!
It is at times like this I realise how lucky I am to have the British NHS service. I can refer myself for physiotherapy. I am diabetic as well and take lots of med's, I don't know how I would manage if I had to pay or apply for a service. Take care I hope you get the care you need and deserve.
Hi I'm from South Africa so can't help with any advice as you're medical works differently to ours. May I ask who diagnosed you with Fibromyalgia in the first place? Is this Doctor no longer in your area as my way of thinking is if the doctor had the intelligence to diagnose the problem surely he/she would now how to treat it. If you have moved or visa verse is it not possible for you to get a referral letter from said Doc to new one perhaps help push things along. Cheers from South Africa
