Yes it is. My daughter was prescribed it, but made her too drowsy all the time. I was prescribed Lyrica, but was like a walking zombie and had to stop it. My insurance wouldn't approve Butrans, now my doctor wants to change me to Nucynta ER because Percocet no longer works. I'm very hesitant to try it.

I’m sure the doctor knew. I tried Gabapentin years ago and it didn’t help, but for some reason the doctor felt like the extended release would help. I gained 60 pounds from Lyrica. I tried Butrans, but I’m allergic to adhesive tape and it burned my skin.

I was on the Gabapentin when off of that cuz I gained too much weight tried Lyrica couldn't take that they put me on a 15 mg Butrans patch it helps with the pain the doctor suggested this horizant not realizing that it was Gabapentin

Horizant is the extended release version of Gabapentin. It didn’t help me. Lyrica didn’t help me either. I’m at a loss as to what I should try next.
