Members shared their experiences managing the challenging combination of hypoglycemia, fibromyalgia, and IBS, with many describing dangerous blood sugar crashes that leave them feeling weak for hours and, in some cases, have led to fainting or hospital visits. Several members offered practical strategies including carrying glucose tablets at all times, always pairing sweet foods with protein to prevent crashes, taking magnesium malate for constipation relief, and consulting with an endocrinologist for specialized care. A recurring theme was the unpredictability of symptoms, with one member describing the frustration of foods causing crashes without warning as playing Russian roulette with their body, alongside genuine compassion and solidarity from those who understand the exhausting reality of managing multiple chronic conditions together.

I carry glocose tablets wih me all the time. i have had some bad crashes when i am out and i am very glad I have them. If I eat anything sweet in the morning, I have to eat a protein with it or my sugar goes way up and crashes bad. so make sure to always eat protein with high sugar foods and carry glucose tablets. good luck.

Yes I have have hypoglycemia and IBS with the Fibro. I have passed out twice with the IBS and had to go to the hospital in an ambulance once. How embarrassing! I have found that taking Magnesium Malate helps me with the constipation more then anything.
