@A MyFibroTeam Member, Relating to Fibro, many of us experience digestive problems as be battle this nasty illness. It could be related, but this doesn't mean you should ignore it or simply put it down to another symptom.

Please visit your doctor. I've previously had a stomach ulcer (not related to my current health challenges) and what you describe sounds very familiar. It's important to get this checked out.

Take care and gentle hugs,
Peter

I agree with Susan. I also cut out dairy milk and ice cream. I only get lactose free now. In fact, I cheated tonight when we went out for chinsese buffet, ate ice cream from there, then had cramping as soon as we got in the car. Big mistake!

Well I asked my doctor today about my stomach issues and I have to do some sort of breath test tomorrow morning
Have to fast for 4 hours prior not even allowed water
He wants to check that it is not an infection and the test will show if it is or not and results take about 1 weeks to come in

He is also sending me for an ultrasound of my entire stomach to check for ulcers as my incubator (mother) suffered from duodenal ulcers of the stomach

He also said that when I have my gastroscopy in December that should reveal if it is in fact GERD’s

I get a lot of bloating in my stomach and back in 2015 I couldn’t eat anything as it would then cause tremendous pains and I would be lucky to eat once a week I lost over 20kgs
Then I had a mini stroke and I wasn’t allowed to leave hospital which was over 2 weeks until I was tolerating small amounts of food
I do get hungry again about an hour after having a meal and get that lump in my throat and have swallowing difficulties
I am booked in for a gastroscopy and colonoscopy as I had to also do a stoool sample over 3 days and two out of the three came back abnormal
I will chat to my gp have made an appointment for tomorrow afternoon at 12:15pm
Thank you all for your response I can’t say how much I appreciate you all and literally everyone on this site much love and gentle hugs to all
I will definitely ask about GERD and I do believe I’ve had irritable bowel syndrome for over 10 years

I would get tested for HPylori. It causes GERD, acid redux, and ulcers! I had it and got rid of it. No more GERD. If you do have it. I can give you some advice to get rid of it!
