There are some pretty funky/pretty fairly inexpensive walking sticks out there and, if nothing else, they signal to others when you are out that you might not be able to navigate the pavement as quickly as they would otherwise expect. I've had a lot of people walk into me because under normal circumstances I would have been out of the way before they reached me but haven't had the balance to do so. It's nobody else's business really whether you find a walking aid helpful or not. If it's helpful, you should have one!
I use my sons wheelchair to walk, I couldn't manage it otherwise
I keep a cane in the trunk of my car for the days I'm out and my knee randomly decides to hurt... (I've had the xrays, and there's nothing visibly wrong with either of them) They were my first fibro pain...
What's a rollator
I have the same problems with standing, it is so discouraging. I look like l'm drunk sometimes. I have to really concentrate when I walk, so that I don't draw attention to myself. My legs are really weak so I don't go places where I have to walk to far. I never connected this to Fibro, is it related??
