I agree with Joyce Cox. I have a cane and a scooter but haven't had to use the scooter in over a year. Praise God!

Yes I use a cane whenever I'm having a flare that affects my legs, knees and hips. Sometimes I also use a cane when I have vertigo. I also have a handicap driving sticker for those times I can bearly walk to appointments. It had been a big help even though I resisted it for years. Don't wait you could lose a lot of time.

I actually chose to use a cane when my left hip was so tight from spasms that I limped. I used the cane for 3 months while getting massage and acupuncture treatments to loosen the muscles. It kept me in straight body alignment so I did not torque other muscles to compensate. I take a collapsible cane with me traveling and doing a lot of walking because when I get fatigued I get a drop foot and it is easy to stumble.
