Members shared mixed experiences with Lyrica for fibromyalgia pain, with some finding it helpful for getting through the day while others reported troubling side effects like severe dizziness, vertigo, memory loss, significant weight gain, and water retention that made them feel like a zombie. Several members offered alternative approaches they've tried, including CBD oil (which some found beneficial for pain and energy despite the cost), chiropractic care, community acupuncture, and Epsom salt baths. A recurring theme was the frustration that no single treatment works for everyone, the importance of carefully weighing benefits against side effects, and the reality that people with fibromyalgia often must experiment to find what works for their unique bodies.

Ok thank you to both of you I'm not worried about weight gain as I'm on a diet ATM and sticking to it and I'm doing really well so I'm fine with that as on contraceptive pill that makes me gain weight and I'm doing really well managing it. Memory loss is very scary and I think the depression I get from the pain is horrendous so if I get rid of the pain I'm sure I will be fine I have a 3 year old who I would do anything for so I know I wouldn't ever get that bad with my mind. Wish me luck im gonna give it a trial for a month.

I've been taking CBD oil for 3.5 months now & my pain has reduced, my energy levels are much improved & my immune system seems to have improved, I was getting a lot of viral infections that turned bacterial before & lasted for 4-6 weeks. I'm going to see how I get through this winter and then I'll really know if it's working. my family sent it to me from Canada it's made from cannabis oil but has no thc in it so it doesn't get you high. to lobby our government to legalise this you could join the end our pain campaign & lobby your MP http://www.endourpain.org
