Members connected over the shared and often distressing experience of night sweats, with many noting they worsen during flare-ups or are made more intense by the combination of fibromyalgia and menopause. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them cope, including using ice packs, keeping towels nearby to absorb moisture, changing clothes multiple times a night, and trying medications like Effexor or Estradiol, though some found relief was only temporary. A recurring theme was uncertainty about what triggers or stops the sweating, paired with gratitude for knowing they are not alone in this uncomfortable and disruptive symptom.

My night (and day) sweats leave me absolutely drenched and uncomfortable. Doc prescribed Effexor and Estradiol to help and they did for awhile but the night sweats are back and I think they're worse than before. Of course, that could just be my imagination since I hadn't had them in awhile.

Yes sometimes I even have to get the bed changed or put a thick towel over the sheet or pillow,it does go away for a while , don't know what brings it on,or stops it.
