Members shared a wide range of approaches to managing fibromyalgia pain and inflammation, with several members finding relief through prescription medications like Naproxen, Indometacin, Celebrex, Amitriptyline, and Hydromorphone, though some noted side effects like stomach aches. Many community members described turning to natural remedies including turmeric, ginger, CBD oil and salves, and medical marijuana as gentler alternatives that still provided meaningful relief. A recurring theme was the recognition that fibromyalgia is not primarily an inflammatory disease and that what works varies greatly from person to person, with members emphasizing the need for continued research and the hope for better treatments in the future.

Fibro is not an inflammatory disease. Anti-inflammatories help like ibuprofen but it isn't like RA. I pray for the drug companies work on a cure. We deserve it and we're hanging on many many yrs now.
