I really need to get feeling better. I have a 4 yr old grandson and I would like to be able to do things with him but being in pain all the time .makes it hard for me. Plus l have no energy and my husband thinks I am lazy! .maybe I am I just want to start feeling better. Hugs (gentle ones)

Members responded warmly to someone experiencing painful rib spasms and muscle issues with fibromyalgia, with many affirming that fatigue is part of the disease and not laziness. Several members shared their own experiences with similar rib pain, identifying conditions like costochondritis and intercostal neuritis as common overlapping diagnoses with fibro, and offering practical relief strategies including stretching over a roller, trigger point therapy, tiger balm, muscle relaxants, and for some, cannabis oil. A recurring theme was the importance of educating loved ones about the invisible nature of chronic pain, advocating with doctors for proper diagnosis, and maintaining a strong mindset while navigating the exhausting cycle of pain and fatigue.

@A MyFibroTeam Member....So sorry about your hubby's accident, terrible when they are taken so suddenly! I also lost my first husband-it is not an easy road. I will go an read up on the condition.
@MaureenGauthier.....One of the specialists did diagnose me with polychondritis, with fibro. There is such an overlap with these auto immune conditions & chronic fatigue. It is all very well being diagnosed, if only they can find a cure! Take care, all you lovely ladies.

You may have Intercostal neaurtice its inflammation between the ribs hurt like hell I've had these 2 for 9 years after a motorcycle wreck in which my dear husband died

Lookup costocondritis. I stretch over a roller backwards, do trigger points and use tiger balm.

I get horrible spasms in my ribs and abdomen. They come really sharp and I can't catch my breath when it happens

You may have costochondritis. Many of us get this with Fibro. Mine comes and goes but really painfull. Hope this helps. As far as being lazy well I'd like to see anyone feel like jumping up and doing whatever with what feels like your whole ribcage is broken. Just because we can't see it doesn't mean it doesn't require time to heal. Hope your husband learns what Fibro truly is in the new year. Gentle hugs and God bless.
