Lupus Suffers Help Please

I've had blood test twice now in the past 2 years for Lupus. I get a red rash/flushing on my face chest and upper arms. No where else, I've been told that it's rosacea as the blood test came back normal. But had to have my antibiotics changes for something else which says people who have SLE shouldn't take. I started having that a few yrs ago. Found out it was penicillin. Cant take sulfa or that now. Did they ck for allergies

I agree to talk to your pharmacist but you could also stop at your local emergency room and have them check you out to make sure it isn't serious.

No nothing has changed a apart from me going on antibiotics. It's so strange but will go back tomorrow as my temperature is all over the place still and my migraine hasn't settled, my throat is still sore and I still have a cough. X

Something to consider (and I'm so sorry you are suffering with this annoying and mysterious problem), but one of the first times I was put on a strong medication, I developed a rash that just wouldn't quit. The doctors were mystified. Finally, one doc figured out I was having an allergic reaction. I was given a course of prednisone and within a week it went away. Just something to consider...

Thanks I've been reading up online about Lupus and I'm pretty sure it's skin Lupus I have. I didn't take my morning antibiotic until i'd spoken to the pharmacist and within 30 mins I'm bright red, so I'm pretty sure it the medication and related to Lupus. I will continue until the doctors opens on Monday and speak to them as he advised unless for any reason I get worse. He did say it was the best antibiotic for the infection x
