I have had several positive ANA tests and then have it go back to being negative. It is very confusing to me and my rheumatologist is monitoring me for Lupus. MaggieCorrigan, what is MCTD?
@eunnoc - I had a positive ANA for Fibro and Lupus. I had another ANA done last year after almost 9years and it came back Positive for Fibro and Lupius. This is why many doctors do not want to treat Fibro---it is an autoimmune disease that could be one of five or six different illnesses.
@A MyFibroTeam Member, I don't have trouble swallowing, I do have TMJ that effects my jaw. I also have cronic dry eyes and my mouth is so dry I lose my voice.
I have Fibromyalgia and have a positive ANA-speckled (keeps getting higher) last done it was 640, I was told Lupus, so then went to get a second opinion and was told it was MCTD, so decided to go for a third opinion and also was told MCTD unspecified as I have symptoms of all of them. Oh joy lucky me. Not sure if Fibro is connected to a positive ANA, so far no doctor has said it was connected.
#MaggieCorrigan Thank you. Yes I have all of these too.
