Has anyone found any natural or over the counter meds that help with pain as my doctor won't prescribe anything else because I'm on so many meds already and in desperate need of a break

Members eagerly shared natural and over-the-counter remedies for pain relief when prescription options are limited, with the most frequently recommended solutions being magnesium supplements or magnesium oil spray, Epsom salt baths, turmeric, tart cherry juice, and topical arnica cream. Several members highlighted CBD oil as a promising option, noting it comes in various forms including drops, gel caps, and vape products, though results vary from person to person and it can be pricey. A recurring theme was the importance of getting bloodwork done to check for vitamin deficiencies like vitamin D, which one member credited with significantly reducing pain levels, and considering a naturopathic doctor who can tailor herbal treatments and dietary changes to individual needs.

I recently started taking vitamin D because my levels were low. It has been 3 weeks now and I find a big difference in my pain. Also less tired when I'm awake. Still need to nap during the day but at least alert and not dragging myself when awake. Never would have thought a vitamin deficiency could impact the level of pain so much. You might want to get blood work done to check your levels.

My daughter is 13 so the doctors won't prescribe her pain meds. We use Epsom salt in a warm bath. We also use Arnica from the health food store. It's a topical cream that's herbal. We also give her Tylenol arthritis (even though she doesn't have arthritis).

Do some research on CBD oil. It works for some, somewhat for others, and not all for yet some others. It's a bit expensive, but worth trying.
