Members connected over experiencing facial tingling, particularly in the cheekbones and temples, with many linking it to teeth clenching, tight neck muscles, and cervical spine issues like stenosis or pinched nerves. Several members shared that their symptoms worsen in the morning from nighttime clenching, and practical suggestions included getting fitted for a dental guard, managing overheating triggers, and understanding that muscle spasms and stiffness can press on nerves and cause these sensations. A recurring theme was the unsettling nature of these symptoms, with members describing precise, half-skull tingling patterns, water-like sensations, and worry about whether the feelings signal something more serious, ultimately finding reassurance in shared experiences and medical explanations.

@A MyFibroTeam Member Since it is our nerves that are causing this tingling I can understand why they would say that since our central nervous system runs down our spines. It’s not completely clear what causes numbness and tingling in people with fibromyalgia syndrome. One cause behind it may be the muscle spasms and muscle stiffness that are common with the disorder. These can lead to the tingling and numbness because the tense muscles press on and irritate the nerves.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, your doc thinks the face tingling comes from the cervical spine stuff? That's what my ortho said as well.

Yes but my doc says it's from the cervical and spinal stenosis. And pinched nerves. Myelopathy.
