About a year or so ago I started having stabbing pain in the middle finger of my right hand. I couldn't figure out why. After some months of this, my doctor had me get my hands x-rayed. They showed the beginnings of osteoarthritis, mostly in the thumbs (though I hadn't felt pain there). Now I wake up every morning with extreme pain in my hands and for the last half hour of sleep I put compression gloves on my hands to ease the pain. In winter I wear them all night long. Right now it's just too hot. I can't say what the source of your pain is, but in people with FM, it could easily be from that. We all have such differing symptoms depending on who we are, even though we all share the core symptoms in common.

I have debilitating pain in my thumbs. Waiting to go to a rumataligist the 18 the hope he is able to help. Let u know if he has any good answers

I have had alot of pain and weakness too, but more in my fingers. They bend a certain way and hurt. Ive had all the bloodtests and nothing.
