Members reflected on the original question of whether anyone has been cured from fibromyalgia, with the overwhelming consensus being that true cures remain elusive, though some have experienced remission, misdiagnosis corrections, or significant symptom improvement through various approaches. Several members shared personal experiences, including one woman misdiagnosed for 30 years whose neck surgery brought pain-free relief, another pursuing meditation and diet changes through an online program with hopeful early results, and many emphasizing the critical role of stress management, rest, and setting boundaries to reduce flare severity. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of living with chronic pain and the vital importance of self-care, calming responses to symptoms, and building a peaceful lifestyle while remaining cautious of products claiming miracle cures.

@A MyFibroTeam Member ..when I look back ..in my family..women and men in the family..I noticed everyone in our family could not handle stress..I was not taught how to handle stress.....my mom...sister .dad.. uncle& aunt..have all passed away..I don't know if it is inherited ..not being to handle stress..or if it was a life style..but as the years go by..I have changed a lot ..and work on having a more stress free life..I listen to easy listening music..got rid of people who love to stay in a stressful life.,people who love drama...I choose now people..who are working on changing their life..to reduce stress in their life..I have learned to say No..easier..instead of just saying yes immediately..I say well let me think about it...and I will get back to you..(I know they will not understand how tired I really am I had to learn to say NO ).I rest more often..I love people with humor....I try and find beautiful things I can do..which are peaceful..I go out in nature and take pictures.sometimes take a short walk in the woods...I love to dance when I can..do what makes you happy more often and try and reduce the things that do not make you happy..we have to take care of ourselves..because people do not understand how necessary it is for us to have PEACE so we have to demand it...set a room in your home that you can go and hide in..and allow your body to rest..it is a must..its hard to do for yourself if you have been the type of person that never allowed yourself to rest..but once you do..your body will purrr like a kitten...I can relate to everything you are saying..sending much love your way..I hope this helps..

@A MyFibroTeam Member I have read a couple of websites where a person has claimed to be cured of it but I must tell you, they are always selling a product that they claim will make everything better! Tah Dah...a cure. But because they are hyping their personal product, I remain unconvinced of it. That may be pessimistic, but that it my personal observation. So, I keep researching and experimenting with natural AIDS because the prescription medications have made me quite sick.

@A MyFibroTeam Member I will check it out. I think it may be quite good for many people. I am really not certain about curing the disorder but calming it. I know it is worse for me if I respond to the pain with tears and anger. Much better to change that response. Thanks for the information.

I am doing an online recovery program, ANS rewire by dan neuffer. I am 6 weeks in, symptoms significantly improved, withdrawing from gabapentin(400 mg per day now). I'm getting better, watch me:) it can take 3 months to a year. I'm meditating 3 times per day now. It helps, with the diet and cognitive retraining, I will be fully recovered soon, I believe. Check it out. I was thinking about killing myself in January. Now I'm confident I will fully recover.
