Members shared mixed experiences with chiropractic care during fibromyalgia flares, with many noting that any physical manipulation during a flare can worsen inflammation and trigger more pain, while others find relief when spacing appointments one to two weeks apart. Several members described being unable to tolerate even gentle touch during flares, with one person spending two weeks in bed after an adjustment, while others suggested that excessive manipulation can cause flares and recommended rest days in between visits. A recurring theme was the highly individual nature of chiropractic response, with some members finding long-term benefit from monthly maintenance visits and alternative methods like KST, while others felt traditional adjustments ultimately made their condition worse.

I have heard from other people that chiro makes them flare, although some people really enjoy the chiro treatments with fibro but space them out one to two weeks at least. For me, traditional adjustments didn't help and I feel ultimately made me worse. I have been doing an alternative Chiropractic method called kst and it helps a lot with the pain in my opinion.

It's different for different people. So for me, it helps, I injured my lower spine 4 years ago. I haven't had an adjustment for 10 months but I am in a lot of pain and know that neck, shoulders and lower back will be 80 % pain free.
