My eyes have bothered me for years. They feel sore are very sensitive to light. I've learned that fibro affects eyes too. We have six muscles that control eye movement and fibro affects all muscles even the eyes. My eyes feel like that all the time. The more fatigue I feel the more my eyes ache. My eyes make me looke tired all the time. I use lubricating eye drops too.
I had the same problem. My eyes felt gritty and dry. In the evening the area around my lashes felt like they were on fire.
My optician prescribed me eye drops for the dryness, and told me to bathe my eyes in the morning and before bed at night. I boil some water with a little salt in it, then once it has cooled to warm, I use a cotton ball to wipe my eyes with it. It's helped a lot.
Yes, my eye pressure even increases in a flare..my eye dr sent me to a specialist..she turned my eyes inside out testing and said your eyes are perfectly healthy..it was a faulty reading..but no a yr later i was in a flare and had the same thing happen.i like an eye wash..when its bothersome..very soothing..
Yes I have problems constantly with dry, itchy eyes. It's in my lids & under eyes, not in my eyes. I put organic shea butter on them daily. Feels better til I rub it off.
I have problems with my eyes they dry out and feel like something is in it. I did have in the past cornea erosion. the eye doctor had to scrap the cornea and after that it regenerated. But you could have dry eye. systane drops are good to try find them at the drug in the eye drops section.
