My first symptoms were sharp, tingling pain often feeling like I was being constantly shocked with electricity. This has continued but instead of constant pain, it occurs most significantly when I type too long. There is also significant pain when I scroll on my phone for about 10 minutes. Mine does personally ! Crafting is out now! I rub my hands, fingers n massage w oils ...Coconut oil and Castor oil! BC my hands seen to get drier these days!
Yes when I am unwell typing and using my phone is difficult and painful. Even if I am not too bad it can start it up.
A rheumatologist ruled out lupus or rheumatoid arthritis for me, but I do have early stage degenerative arthritis which contributes to hand and wrist and finger pain. I have more of an ache, I'd say, and my fingers feel sore on the keyboard like I've been pounding away for hours when I haven't. I often can't open a jar or even a bottle, or pick up a glass or cup, without trying a couple of times and adjusting my hand to minimize the pain or to make my hands "work". Sometimes I can barely write or even sign my name. I am so sad that I can't sew or do art like I used to easily!
Mine do it, but it was from a combination of hard labor ( collision repair) and already weak joints. Copper braces help :)
I have the same problem . I was referred to a orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hands, etc. While I didn't have osteoarthritis in some of my fingers, he diagnosed me with "carpo meta carpal arthritis ". It effects the base of your thumb down through the padded part of your hand below the thumb. I have it in both hands and it is very painful. He gave me 2 metal braces that I wear most nights. The pain can wake me up out of a sound sleep
