Can anyone tell me what kind of mattress/bed works really well for them, is really comfortable with fibro, and lasts more than a year? I do spend quite a lot of time in there, ok... most of my time in there, so I need a mattress that doesn't hurt me.

My favorite is Intellibed. It's very pricey but to me, worth it. They have certain models that are made for people with fibro. It's the best night sleep I have consistently ever had.

I have an adjustable bed and it's been a God send. I can move it up or down even inches to make me feel more comfortable. Right now I have a gel egg crate on my mattress until my husband can get me an air mattress or a Tempur-pedic. If you have to purchase a new bed make sure it's adjustable and get a slip from your doctor so you don't have to pay taxes on it. 🍫❤️B
I have an adjustable bed and find it very beneficial - sometimes laying flat means that some muscles are not properly support therefore can retain tension during the night. Being able to raise and lower head or feet to whatever position is comfortable helps me relax more.
I have a 3" wool mattress topper that is wonderful. It keeps the nightly hotflashes at bay, very cooling. And, oh so soft. It wasn't cheap. I think mine was $325 on Amazon for a queen size but I'm finding it was worth every penny in finally getting some sleep.
I use an adjustable air mattress that I got 20 years ago--expensive be worth every dime.
