I had my gallbladder removed two years ago. I had stomach discomfort and could only eat small meals before the surgery. Thankfully I did not have severe gallbladder stones attacks before the surgery. They saw the stones on the ultrasound and decided to do surgery before it god too bad. It was day surgery and I was off six weeks. A year after I had to have hernia surgery cause I developed an hernia in my abdomen close to where my surgery was. I was told this is a common problem after surgery. The hernia surgery was way more painful than the gallbladder surgery.

This was a few years ago, but I remember for a l o n g time, I had these severe pains near my abdomen. It went on for over a year I know. Nobody knew what was wrong. It got so bad, I was doubled up lying on the floor, and I went to a different hospital. Had surgery, they removed my gallbladder and all these stones.
God Bless you.

My gallbladder was taken out. It was lined with colesterol but the doctor said it had nothing to do with my colesterol in my blood stream. He said you usually have to look under a microscope to see it but mine was quite obvious. I don't think it had any connection with fibro.
