Is it common to be numb all over including your back and head/neck area?

Yes. I seriously think the nerves are the main problem. My arms are always numb. I've had carpal tunnel ops. and other therapy but it doesn't work. I've got the normal arthritis problems in my hips but the biggest problem is numbness in all four limbs. I have also had dizziness and blackouts and seriously think it all stems back to fibro attacking the nerves.

Makes very sure it's ONLY fibro. Fibromyalgia is the great masquerader. Most any symptom can fall under it's mask. Ask your doc about anything with that symptom.

I believe so. My hands, feet, arms legs and even my face goes numb at times.

I have numbness and tingling on different areas of my body. It moves around. Lately, it's been on my head and down my neck. Other times it's different patches of my legs. I have found nothing that really helps alleviate it.
