Walking is good for me some days but others not so good. The best I have found is in the water. I am not up to doing structured classes that are offered but even if all I do is tread water or hold on to side and kick I feel better. Even just floating in the water is therapeutic I find... it is relaxing and the buoyancy of the water relieves the stress of gravity on our bodies. Trying yoga now, just the easy stuff... there is one designed for gentle stretching I believe but of course I can't remember the name of it now! LOL
Working out has been a game changer for me in managing the symptoms but I totally understand your battle. I have it too. So exhausted in the morning and stiff and ache all over. The last thing you feel like doing is going to a gym to do physical exercise. Two things have helped me stick to a regime. First, I had to hire a trainer. Having an appointment stops me from talking me out of it. But of course there is a financial burden in doing this and it is hard to find a good trainer. I'm fortunate that I found someone that is excellent but also charges a very reasonable fee. The second is trusting that I will feel so much better after I exercise because I always do. It doesn't matter how bad I may be feeling that day, I always will feel better, even normal sometimes, when I'm finished.
@A MyFibroTeam Member....agree with TereasaM water therapy!
Tbh we got a dog. I have to take her out and this has really increased my exercise. Its not always easy and my husband walks her when I have been at work 2 days a week but she is a great motivator.
