The only thing that has helped me consistently is OxyContin!! I know it shouldn't help Fibro but for some reason for me it does! My doctor says whatever will help me with the pain is what he will prescribe cause he has seen me at my worst. Good luck!!!!

Methotrexate made me very nauseated and the inside of my mouth got so sore I couldn't drink or eat anything. Methotrexate is a mild form of chemo.

Sorry to hear that. Are the Doctors truly understanding fibro pain also? It's a nerve pain, and should be treated as such. So many doctors don't know how to treat fibro pain. You need to find a doctor that treats pain. A friend of mine has lupus with a lot of other illnesses that cause her pain and her doc gives her a fenntenol patch,,, not sure of spelling here. It works for awhile and then she tells me sometimes it doesn't. So I hope your brother can find a pain doctor because that is what they do is just that. Hope this has helped a bit. Good luck and hope he gets the help he needs. Hugs
