Members connected over the question of neurological bowel and bladder problems with fibromyalgia, sharing experiences that ranged from IBS with diarrhea or constipation, neurogenic bladder, lactose intolerance, chronic cystitis requiring bladder dilations, and painful complications from previous medical procedures. Several members offered practical strategies including fiber supplements, over-the-counter medications, probiotics, turmeric with black pepper, licorice tea, and dietary changes like eliminating dairy and sugar. A recurring theme was that digestive and bladder issues are very common with fibromyalgia and often interconnected, with many noting that consulting a gastroenterologist or urologist and understanding the role of the autonomic nervous system can be helpful steps in managing these frustrating symptoms.

I had IBD-D for many, many years & then it switched to IBS-C. Now it seems to switch back & forth at will. IBS is Very common with fibromyalgia. My sister has fibromyalgia & IBS-D. You may want to consider a Gastroenterologist.

Good luck & God bless! ! ! πŸ•ŠπŸ’œπŸ•Š Linda

Try turmeric capsules (with black pepper), a high dose and also licorice tea is great for stomachs and keeping things even. Turmeric is a natural antiinflammatory and heals the gut. Also probiotics will help stomach and abdomen... all related. Stop Dairy and Sugar it will probably help a lot.
