Members connected over the frightening experience of fibro fog causing memory lapses and zoning out while driving, with many sharing that they've driven blocks without remembering the journey. Several members offered practical coping strategies, including rolling down windows for fresh air, taking breaks to stretch and walk, eating crunchy foods like carrots, using Google Maps with audio to stay alert, making lists, and varying activities throughout the day. A recurring theme was the deep frustration of living with an invisible condition that loved ones struggle to understand, alongside caution about medications like Lyrica that may worsen brain fog or blackouts.

I get very distracted while driving. As hard as I try, my head goes somewhere else. I'm scared to death to drive! Something else for my husband to not understand.

I also use google maps more, with the audio on, in case I'm going to miss my turn
