Members connected over the shared experience of severe leg pain in fibromyalgia, with many describing sensations like muscles being wrung out, rubber bands squeezing, burning, weakness so intense they can barely walk, and pain that disrupts sleep. Several members shared practical strategies that have brought them relief, including lidocaine cream and patches, BioFreeze, Epsom salt baths, clonazepam for restless leg syndrome, gabapentin, stretching exercises, compression stockings, turmeric supplements, kratom, acupuncture, and elevating legs with pillows at night. A recurring theme was the importance of staying mobile despite the pain, pacing activities carefully, communicating with doctors about symptoms, and leaning on the community for support when the pain feels unbearable.

Especially from the lower back to arse this is usually the area that sciatica the main nerves will run riot. One thing I have learned over the years is to keep mobile when this happens and that means working through the pain and tiredness and that involves using crutches as aids. Many things people have wrote are the right ideas to work with too, epsom salt (magnesium) baths, yoga (check out the sites for extreme sciatica). Diet needs to be reassessed too in case you have been overloaded on something you usually don't. I mean with Fibro we are pretty hot on what we should and should not do every day. Support stockings can help too and constantly turning feet for circulation. Sciatica base pain usual comes home to me if I have been spending too long on my feet that my body can cope with often without realising it or because I have had to push my body further than able for things outside my control. Unlike sciatica suffers Fibro sciatica can be a different pain altogether. Putting a pillow at the end of the bed at night and raising your legs will help. I don't have an answer or cure only self help and pacing. I am going through bad flu last week it was the surface skin with fibro that bought me up short and was agony and I had to use mediation to help tackle the pain and that meant trying to get out of bed and lye flat on my back and mediate so all my muscles were aligned and not cramped. What I am saying is the pain will come in, we have to have normal lives as possible, pacing does help and mediation is critical to help with pain. Also accepting your limitations at the time and rely on others and do not feel guilt. You could try gels but they can also have the opposite effect. They are not something I use now but they may suit you if only for a short while like they did me before bringing me hives. I hope you find a level you can manage xx

Yes my legs ache all the time. They are sore like I've exercised all day. The outer thigh of my left leg gets numb and wakes me up at night. Right now I am taking 800mg of Gabapentin and nothing else. Dr won't give anything for pain due to the opioid Crack down. It hurts. I'm looking in to using Tumeric golden paste. If you research you will read that Tumeric helps with inflammation and works somewhat like an opioid. I still have a little research to do. I'll post more about the subject as I learn more.

I do all the time. Do you workout at all? There is a thing called compartment syndrome that feels like this. My dr said it is more than likely the fibro. I also feel like my bones are breaking. If you can get cannabis pain cream it really helps. If not, the lidocaine patches help.

Yes. Sometimes sparked by too much activity. Muscles get really tight and feel like they're on fire. Unfortunately I have gotten used to it as I have no good solution for this.

Clonazepam...it's an anxiety pill. I don't know why it works but it does.
