Has anyone found any relief going to the chiropractor? I've had such terrible pain in my left hip and I wonder if it would help. My anxiety is high even thinking about going though.

Members shared mixed experiences regarding whether chiropractic care helps with fibromyalgia-related hip and body pain, with some finding relief when visiting every few weeks while others reported that adjustments became too painful or provided no benefit after months of treatment. Several members offered alternative strategies, including working on trigger points at home using a tennis ball, applying diclofenac gel (Voltaren), using heat, and seeking gentler approaches like massage or physical therapy instead of sudden chiropractic adjustments. A recurring theme was the anxiety many feel about chiropractic care due to fibromyalgia's heightened pain sensitivity, with strong advice to find a practitioner who understands the condition and communicates carefully about pressure and technique.

@A MyFibroTeam Member in Australia it's Voltaren gel and tablets available too... the ingredient is diclofenac.. so not sure if you are in the US what it would be there... the gel works in some areas for me, the tablets in others..

Yes I have had some relief going to a chiropractor. I found a really good one finally. What happened to me is that I am using my left leg more than my right because my fibro pain is so extreme on the right. So the it is beneficial to get an adjustment.

A lot of people have good relief with chiropractors. But it has to be the right one. Not all chiropractors are created equal. I think that yoga is a big help more than anything, tho.

I too use to go to the chiropractor regularly. It was becoming harder to get adjusted because it was too painful when he would touch me to do the adjusting. He was the one that told me he thought I had fibromyalgia. That was when I saw a doctor and was diagnosed.

I go every 3 weeks and so does my sister, it really seems to help for about a month. You just have to find a
good one and tell them what you want and where to be careful.
