Members strongly affirmed the connection between fibromyalgia and IBS, sharing that stomach pain, bloating, and cramping after eating are common experiences, with several describing fear or reluctance to eat due to the discomfort. Many found relief through dietary changes, including a low FODMAP diet, avoiding trigger foods like onions, garlic, spices, and fatty meals, and using supplements like Fybogel, probiotics, apple cider vinegar, and lactose-free products. A recurring theme was the importance of working with a dietician, keeping a food diary to identify triggers, and prioritizing gut health as a pathway to feeling better overall.

I get as well. The cramps sometimes are so bad that I have to rest after each meal. I haven't read anything about cramps or tummy ache after eating or I thought it was something to do with the medication.

My Fibromyalgia began because of taking the antiinflammatory Viox that was banned not long after it came out because of deaths . The Viox literally put holes in my intestines causing leaky gut syndrome, which then systemically poisoned my whole system. A healthy gut equals a healthy body. So work towards healing your intestinal mucosa and I know u will start feeling heaps better. Also I only use lactose free dairy and a ketogenic diet will prevent bloating. Hope this helps

I have IBS too, apparently it's part of the syndrome. I suffer more now than in the past but I know what really upsets me so avoid it : Onions, spices, garlic, peppers etc plus fatty food. If I eat an amount to satisfy appetite I am ok but if I eat until i'm over full then I will pay for that next day. Fybogel helps me a lot

Same here, I've had IBS for many years but it's just been within the last couple weeks, my stomach hurts and feels swollen and yuck after a meal. I was wondering myself if it's related
