For the last month my skin has been so itchy everywhere. I have scratched and am getting scaring now.

I use Aveeno body wash in the shower, and Aveeno moisturiser when I get out.
I'm based in the UK.

Anyone have suggestions of any products or things I could try to get it to calm down?

Members connected over the frustrating experience of persistent, widespread itching, with many describing it as affecting their head, legs, stomach, face, and feet, often without a clear cause or reliable relief. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them, including switching to CeraVe lotion, taking daily antihistamines like Benadryl or Hydroxyzine, using fragrance-free and dye-free laundry products, adding coconut oil to their diet, mixing lotion with baby oil after showering, and keeping shower water cool rather than hot to avoid triggering more irritation. A recurring theme was that the itching is often related to overactive nerve signals rather than a typical skin condition, which can make it harder to treat and may require patience, allergy testing, or medication adjustments to break the cycle.

The itching is from our nerves. The nerves are always firing and instead of hurt sometimes we itch. It's weird but that's what my dr told me

I have had skin itching and dryness for a long time. I recently started making smoothies and add organic coconut oil. Dr told me to use cerave lotion which has definitely helped. I also take antihistamines thanks to 2 pages of allergies. Try to use perfume and dye free laundry products. Itching continues you may want to consider allergy testing. I had to eliminate food allergies from my diet.

Nerve endings under the skin, once sensitive take a long time to calm down, and everything you do just keeps the cycle going. Have a look at Moogoo, it's here in Australia, but they have them in the UK as well. However check your shower heat is not too hot and potential food allergies causing it. Try antihistamines too.
