Over the past two years I've started to suffer from sensory overload to the point that going to events or being in areas with loud sounds start to make my body sort of shut down to the point that I'm a bundle of nurve and get irritated fast.
Yes! I didn't have anxiety before fibro and now deal with it daily. Grocery stores are horrible for me as well! I've literally broke down crying at one before. What I usually do now is to only do small trips. I don't get a whole lot of stuff. Just enough for a few days max. I have the list ready before going in. That way I can run in and out quick with the least amount of interaction and over thinking. Just get x y and z and go. I repeat my list to myself over and over to give me that to focus on. It helps me get out within 15 minutes every time. It helps, it's not perfect but it helps.
