I have had an excruciating migraine for the last 2 days. I got home from my grandson's soccer game and have had pain on the left side of my thorasic spine. Could this be related to my migraine?

Members shared their experiences with thoracic spine pain and migraines, with many agreeing that spinal issues, muscle tension, and nerve connections can trigger migraines, though individual triggers vary widely from weather changes and bright lights to stress and sinus problems. Several members recommended chiropractors, self-massage with tennis balls, stretching, magnesium glycinate supplements, B12 injections, warm compresses, and natural anti-inflammatories like ginger, turmeric, and garlic, while others cautioned that not all chiropractors are equal and some had negative experiences. A recurring theme was the exhausting search for relief through both conventional treatments like Botox injections, headache infusions, and various medications, and alternative approaches like acupuncture, daith piercings, and meditation, with members offering solidarity and practical wisdom born from years of managing chronic pain.

I get migraines almost daily. I have had back and neck surgery and before that I went to a chiropractor my surgeons insist that he made my back worse. So be careful going to them.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, some people can have chiropractic manipulations & some cannot. I'm another one of those who can't have them. I STILL suffer from horrible muscle spasms from a Chiropractor! And that was nine years ago....:'(

I had migraines for forty years daily. I had tried everything. A few weeks ago my dr put me on Elavil and I haven't had any more. I think the reason they are so hard to treat is that there are many kinds. I had four kinds. Evidently mine are caused from too much serotonin.

There are times when I get migraine like symptoms around the left eye area and I believe this is related to the trigeminal nerve, at least in my case. Weather change can also produce these symptoms, like cloudiness and really bright sun.
