I was hoping to get some insight into coping with FMS and history of breast cancer at any age. I've only met one woman who was diagnosed in her 30s with breast cancer and later FMS. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 with single mastectomy, 13 years ago at age 24, and diagnosed with fibro in 2010. Prior to those I had been diagnosed with a lot of related conditions, TMJ age 15, IBS age 22, depression, vertigo, ect.
Hi CCC, I was dx with breast ca in 2012 and I had a lumpectomy. I haven't been the same since. First they said my extreme fatigue was due to radiation and could take up to a year to recover. That year came and went, add all the other symptoms and here I am. I am a nurse and I'm not buying this bull that it's all emotionally based. You may want to check into Dr. William Pridgen and Carol Duffy's research on fibromyalgia. They just published their phase 2 results and are starting phase 3. I am seeing a new Dr. tomorrow and hoping that they are open to looking into this. Hugs
Thanks so much! Any new info to check out or try is appreciated. I've delt with depression my whole life, since I was very young, and it didn't impact my life or keep me from enjoying things like this has.
I knew someone who had breast cancer she had fibro since she was young the she got breast cancer in her 80
