Members connected over the shared experience of facial pain, with many identifying TMJ (temporomandibular joint disorder) as a likely culprit, describing symptoms such as jaw clicking, locking, ear pain, and headaches that can radiate from the neck and shoulders. Several members shared strategies that helped them find relief, including wearing a custom mouth splint (which one member credited with becoming pain-free after six months), reducing chewing, avoiding trigger foods like tomatoes, and treating underlying sinus issues or infections. A recurring theme was the frustration of navigating overlapping symptoms and the challenge of distinguishing between fibromyalgia, TMJ, sinus problems, and neck pain, with many members expressing exhaustion but also finding comfort in knowing they are not alone.

I had X-rays on my jaws etc and told to cut down on chewing. I've also changed diet and don't eat tomatoes intentionally as that food above all others cause me so much painx

Yes I have a clicking jaw, tightness and it radiates into ears. Sometimes I get what feels like sinus pain above the bridge of the nose. Headaches are hard to say as I flair from base of the neck which becomes tense, aching with dull pain heading over the top to the front with neurological pain sparking over the head and round next to my ears. Hope this helps in some way. :0)

I get jaw locking. Today I am really dizzy and the middle of my neck is swollen and hurts. I don't know if my dizziness is from an inner ear infection or from the pain in my neck.I wish someone would figure this stupid diease, cause I am really tired of it.
