I get those a lot! My neurologist diagnosed me with ice pick headaches, the ones you're speaking of and yes they're awful! Mine hit out of nowhere, but thankfully don't last too long. I hope they subside for you!
hell yeah they told me I was crazy and was laughing behind my back, did all these test it's unbearable the pain comes and goes every month I get these enormous pressure's one in the top of my head and the other at the back of my head just behind the ears that's so intense I cant move till it passes
Yes. Apart from the "ice pick" thing, I get pain in my jaw that feels like tooth ache, but is not caused by the teeth. Massage of the neck from the point of the jaw to up behind the ear usually helps relieve it.
A lot of pain can be caused by involuntarily clenching your teeth, or grinding your teeth at night. You might get some relief from massaging lavender oil into your temples and the points of the jaw.
