Does anyone have issues with nausea and vomiting related to fibromyalgia? I've been vomiting for over 2 years and they have run every test and nothing has been positive. I saw my new primary and she seems to think it could be related to my fibromyalgia.

Members rallied around someone experiencing chronic nausea and vomiting for over two years with no clear diagnosis, sharing their own similar struggles and emphasizing they are not alone in this frustrating symptom. Several members offered practical remedies that have helped them manage nausea, including Zofran, Pepcid AC, Promethazine, fresh ginger tea, marijuana, nausea bracelets, and identifying food intolerances like gluten, dairy, wheat, and fructose. A recurring theme was the importance of continuing to advocate for answers rather than accepting fibromyalgia as the default explanation, with suggestions to explore gastroparesis, H-pylori bacteria, medication side effects, IBS, and the connection between an overactive nervous system and digestive issues.

Found this page by doing a google search. This last year I have had more than just nausea. Have bouts of projectile vomiting then feel fine. I also have asthmatic bronchitis which often coincides with the fibromyalgia so wasn't sure if it was from mucus drainage from bronchitis or inflammation from the fibromyalgia. Probably both.

I do have nausea sometimes, but not vomiting. My understanding is that fibromyalgia can include digestive issues. For no reason I go through months where I'm wearing my nausea bracelet almost constantly but also months without. I've been reading a bit about how all humans have a second "brain" in their stomachs...if fibromyalgia is largely an issue of an overreactive nervous system, I can see how that could impact our digiestive systems as well.

I too have had problems with nausea and vomiting. Two years ago I was hospitalized for several days. I'm not sure if it's caused by fibromyalgia or my vertigo. The vomiting isn't constant but the nausea is sometimes the only thing to do is to lay down and try to relax. I hope you feel better soon.

Soo...funny..just woke up from a nap and am extremely nauseous. I experience nausea alot. Buy fresh ginger..peel say 3tbsp..add to a large pot of water..boil for 10-15 mins...cool..put in a pitcher and drink it cold..very refreshing..and helps with nausea. When I was nauseous every day I would smoke Marijuana...just one inhale and nausea was gone.Hope this helps..Hugs💜
