Decreasing my narcotic usage and my muscle relaxer seems to help relax me. Anyone else use these on a routine basis?

Members shared mixed experiences with muscle relaxers for fibromyalgia, with some finding daily use tremendously helpful while others reported they stopped working over time, caused stomach upset, or made them too tired during the day. Several members described reducing or eliminating both muscle relaxers and pain medications in favor of alternatives like over-the-counter options, organic apple cider vinegar, natural relaxants such as valerian and chamomile, and medical cannabis. A recurring theme was the challenge of balancing symptom relief with side effects and the empowering choice to find what works best for each individual body.

I stopped taking pain killers and mussel relaxers also. Feel better without them. They seem to aggravate the pain, and make things hurt more. I deal with the pain now. If it gets bad I take vanquish (over the counter pain med), but only if it gets to bad. I'm looking forward to start the apple cider vinegar treatment. I have Hurd for people it helps more then pills. But like everything takes time to feel it working.

I don't use the muscle relaxers in the day usually. I try not to take them, but sometimes they help at night. :) Hugs

I have to be careful - am warey of toxins associated with drugs - can create more problems but yes, relaxants are good - but you can choose natural ones like Valerium and Chamomile - helpful to me.

I use my muscle relaxers very seldom because it upsets my tummy. I have found a strain of cannabis that's working really well and it doesn't make me sick & it helps with my fatigue
